Cancellation & Refund Policy
How to stop paying us, what you keep, and when money comes back. This forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Your trial
New accounts start with a 30-day free trial. We ask for a payment method up front so that nothing breaks on the day the trial ends, but we do not charge it during the trial.
Cancel before the trial ends and you are charged nothing at all. We will email you before the first charge, not after it.
2. Cancelling
Cancel at any time from Settings in your account — no phone call, no retention script, no form to request a form. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.
If you would rather tell a person, [email protected] works and we will action it the same way.
3. Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance. When you cancel, you keep the rest of the month you have paid for and are not billed again. We do not refund part of a month.
4. Annual subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for twelve months at a discount against the monthly rate.
- Cancel within 60 days of the start of an annual term and we refund thewhole year, not just the part you did not use. Keep the books you made in the meantime — export them before you go.
- Cancel after 60 days and the subscription runs to the end of the term and does not renew. No refund is due, and you keep access throughout.
5. What happens to your books
Your data is yours and we will not hold it hostage to get you to stay.
- Export everything before you cancel — it is available at any time while the account is open.
- For 90 days after cancellation your account stays available read-only, so you can still get your records out.
- After that we delete it, on the timetable in the Privacy Policy.
Accounting records usually have to be kept for six years. Take your export.
6. When we will refund beyond this
We will put it right, without argument, if:
- we charged you after you cancelled;
- we charged you twice for the same period;
- we billed the wrong amount, or billed you for a plan you did not choose;
- an extended fault on our side made the service unusable for a meaningful part of a period you paid for.
Email [email protected]. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually take five to ten business days to appear, depending on your bank.
7. Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrade mid-period and we charge the difference, pro rata for the remainder. Downgrade and the new, lower price starts at your next renewal rather than immediately — the plan you paid for runs its course.
8. Chargebacks
If something looks wrong on your statement, please ask us first. A chargeback takes weeks and may suspend your account while the bank decides, where an email to us usually settles it the same day.
